Choosing a Favorite DVC

Everyone has a favorte Disney Vacation Club resort, right?  Maybe not.  Some would say: "It’s similar to asking a parent, 'Which is your favorite child?'"

Shontell Crawford from DVCbyResale has put together a fun blog post questioning which DVC resort is her favorite.  From the villa size and atmosphere of Disney's Old Key West Resort to the Victorian splendor of the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, all of the Walt Disney World properties are shown some love.

However this statement may best echo the feelings of many DVC owners:   "Don’t ask me to pick a favorite! But alright, if I must…"

Check out the post HERE and then come back and tell us about your favorite!

I truly enjoy all of the DVC resorts, but there's only one location that I will find myself missing if I go too long without staying... BRV/CCV at WL.

For overall relaxation with family AKL (our home resort) covers most needs with view, atmosphere, and animals for grandkids. For convenience Boardwalk fits the bille being close to EPCOT, DHS, and MK via monorail. OKW offers most space in a relaxed atmosphere, so depending on time of year, who's going, purpose of trip would determine where to target. Then it comes down to availability of space needed.

I have put off answering this question because if I chose one of my favorite 4 DVC resorts, AKV, BLT, CCV and Aulani, then I'd feel so discombobulated that I would want to rush around and apologize to all my other beloved resorts. Crazy I know, what can I say?

But if I had to give up all of our resorts except for one, I would keep Bay Lake Tower. I love the location and ability to walk to Magic Kingdom. It's curved design goes well with the Contemporary, one of the original Disney hotels. And I appreciate all of the Disney touches in the art work, carpets and even the chandeliers. And being on the monorail makes 2 other resorts, Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian MK and Epcot easily accessible for dining and entertainment. Plus you can easily date a boat to Wilderness Lodge and Ft. Wilderness for additional dining and entertainment.
