Independence Day 2016 closures & schedule adjustments

Monday, July 4, 2016 is designated as Independence Day in the United States.  Its status as a national holiday prompts a number of closures and schedule adjustments which extend to the Disney Vacation Club world.

DVC Member Services, Member Administration and Member Accounting will be closed all day on Monday, July 4, 2016.  During the closure, members may use DVCMember.com to make and cancel reservations, bank points and perform other tasks supported by the site.  

All of the DVC offices will re-open at 9am on Tuesday, July 5.  

Pool hopping privileges are currently suspended with the ban lasting through July 9, 2016.  During this period, members may only utilize pools located at the resort where they have a confirmed DVC points reservation.  

Reminder that pool hopping is never allowed to Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower, as well as all pools at Disney's Beach Club VillasDisney's Animal Kingdom VillasDisney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  

Access to the Top of the World Lounge located at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is limited to Bay Lake resort guests only on the nights of July 3-4, 2016.  This restriciton also applies on December 24-25.  On all other nights, the lounge is open during evening hours for members and their guests staying at any DVC resort.



DVC "Membership Magic" discount perks are subject to blockout dates throughout the year.  Disney Vacation Club no longer publishes a comprehenisve list of blockout dates, stating only that members perks are not available on dates "including, but not limited to, Christmas and New Year's Day."  Members may wish to check with a Disney Cast Member to inquire regarding the availability of member discounts, particularly on Monday, 7/4. 

Finally, a select list of restaurants are ineligible for discounts under the Tables In Wonderland program on Monday, July 4.  Included are 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey’s, ‘Ohana (Dinner), Cinderella’s Royal Table, Les Chefs de France, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and Le Cellier Steakhouse.
