Member Benefits and Perks

Disney Vacation Club members wishing to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the top floor of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort will have to pay.

Earlier this week, DVC announced a paid Membership Magic exclusive for July 4, 2019 which includes a dessert party and reserved fireworks viewing in Bay Lake Tower's Top of the World Lounge. That information has since been amended to clarify that the lounge will be open exclusively to attendees of the paid event on Independence Day.

Information currently posted to the Disney Parks Blog recommends July 3rd as an alternative date for free viewing of "Disney’s Celebrate America!—A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky":

"And here’s a little trip tip from our friends at Bay Lake Tower. While the Top of the World Lounge will be available exclusively to those attending the aforementioned event, the lounge will remain open to all eligible Members on July 3..."

The July 4th fireworks viewing party is priced at $99 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Dating back to 2012, Top of the World Lounge has been open nightly for complimentary Magic Kingdom fireworks viewing by DVC owners staying at Walt Disney World. Historically, lounge access has been reserved exclusively for guests at Bay Lake Tower on a handful of high demand nights including July 3 & 4 and December 30 & 31. This is the first time in recent memory that Bay Lake Tower guests have been blocked-out from accessing the space.
