Three New WDW Ticket Offers Available to Qualified DVC Members

Disney has unveiled three new Walt Disney World ticket offers for Disney Vacation Club members.  Two offers involve Annual Passes while the third offer involves a discounted Magic Your Way ticket.

Now through January 3, 2018, Members may 25% save on a Platinum Plus Annual Pass. The cost of this pass is normally $769 per person plus tax, but is being offered for $559 plus tax, a savings of $210.  With the Platinum Plus Annual Pass guests can enjoy:
  • One year of admission to all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks (during normal operating hours);
  • The ability to go from park to park on the same day—with NO blockout dates;
  • Theme park parking;
  • Admission to 2 fantastic Disney water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course;
  • Disney PhotoPass downloads;
  • Special offers for stays at Disney Resort hotels;
  • Discounts on dining, merchandise, recreation and tours are also included.
To take advantage of this offer, the Annual Pass must be purchased by January 3, 2018 and the first use of the Pass must occur by December 31, 2018.
The Platinum Plus Annual Pass can be purchased online, by calling DVC Member Services, or in person by visiting a Guest Relations location at any Disney theme park or Disney Springs.
The second ticket offer is for members who renew an existing Annual Pass.  Members who renew an annual pass by October 1, 2017--and before it expires--will receive 13 months of theme park admission rather than the normal 12 months.
Passholders can renew up to 60 days in advance of the expiration date on the pass. To renew, contact Disney Vacation Club member services or visit a Guest Relations window at a Disney theme park or Disney Springs.
The third offer involves a special Magic Your Way ticket.  Members can purchase a 7-day ticket for the price of a 5-day ticket.  The cost is $370 plus tax for the base ticket with no park hopping privileges.  The Park Hopper option may be added for an additional $75 per ticket.
As an added bonus, tickets purchased under this offer will remain valid for 6 months rather than the normal 14-day expiration period appled to Magic Your Way passes.  For example, if the first day is used on August 1, 2017, remaining days on the 7-day pass are valid until January 31, 2018--6 months after the first use.
All days must be used on this ticket by December 31, 2018 regardless of first use.  The offer is valid for the Disney Vacation Club owner and up to 7 eligible family members (must live in the same household).
These offers are part of Membership Extras program.  New members who purchased after April 4, 2016, must purchase directly from Disney in order to have access to these and other Membership Extras.

Technically, only two new offers. The 13 months for renewals has been going on since 10/1/2016.

Interesting but I would not use the wp or other sports arenas. The blackout dates are not an issue for me. However, if I had not just renewed my AP, I might have jumped at the off. The MYW ticket option is nice. That could add up some savings for a big family. I am glad WDW is trying some new options for tickets and savings.

Just arrived and went to DS Guest Relations to upgrade our Gold Pass to a Platinum Pass as we are going to be here over the Holidays this year and we wanted to do away with our blackout dates. Fully expected to pay the difference.

CM goes behind closed door, comes back out and told us we had been upgraded to the Platinum Pluss for free. Our tickets expire in February (we had already taken advantage of the 13 month) so I walk out with a couple hundred I had expected to drop with Platinum. And threw in the Plus!

If there's a down side to this I'm sure missing it.
Thank you Disney/DVC!

If I recall correctly, the original offer in 2016 for 13-month Annual Passes required that members renew by January 3, 2017. I don't think Disney extended that offer after that date. That is why I considered it to be a 'new' offer.

Didn't the old offer also limit it renewals by October ?, 2016 and then they expanded it to January 3, 2017. I know that last time we weren't going to be able to use the 13 month offer as it expired before our 60 days renewal date. Now it is happening again, our APs expire 12/7/17 and the earliest we can renew is 10/7/17.

I sure hope DVC reconsiders the offer and opens it to end in early January 2018.
