Disney Vacation Club members can now enroll in the May 2015 runDisney event--two weeks before registration opens to the general public.
The 5K Expedition Everest Challenge is open for registration to DVC members. The event is described as "an all-ages adventure that combines a 5K run—through the wilds of Asia and Africa!—with the challenge of a scavenger hunt."
The event will be held at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park during nighttime hours on May 2, 2015.
Registration is open for both individual participants and two-person teams. Prices start around $125 for individuals and $240 for a team. No discounts are offered to DVC members.
Race fees include a Champion race shirt for each participant, personalized race bib, finisher medal, post-race refreshments and admission to a post-race party at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Additional party tickets can be purchased for traveling companions.
Early registration is open to DVC members via the link posted to DVCMember.com (click on "Membership Magic" / "Special Offers".) Races are subject to capacity limits.
