Disney Vacation Club to provide grand prize on ABC
On Oct. 5 at 7/6c, the hit ABC television series "America's Funniest Home Videos" will kick off season No. 19, which will feature a grand prize from Disney Vacation Club.
The premiere episode continues a proud tradition of showcasing what happens when adults, children and even inanimate objects are at their spontaneous best. Hosted by Tom Bergeron, "AFV" is the longest-running primetime show in ABC history. Season-premiere highlights include clips of the painful hilarity that ensues when men get their hair waxed, a little boy getting some unwanted help from his brother when making his first jump off a diving board, a puppy going to great lengths to avoid a bath and a deer giving a man a swift kick (in the head).
The winner of this season's best video will receive the Grand Prize: a Disney Vacation Club Membership.
And throughout the year, "AFV" will give viewers at home a chance to win three years of family vacations at their choice of select destinations around the world courtesy of Disney Vacation Club.
In its 19 seasons to date, "AFV" has given away more than $10 million in prize money and has evaluated more than half a million videotapes from home viewers.
Viewers wishing to submit home videos to "America's Funniest Home Videos" should visit www.ABC.com for details. Vin Di Bona is executive producer, with Todd Thicke and Michele Nasraway serving as co-executive producers.
