In late 2007, DVC announced that members would soon be able to start booking short notice, short duration trips through Interval International. That feature has now gone live at DVCMember.com.

The Interval search engine allows members a great deal of flexibility to zero-in on a destination of their choice. A search begins by selecting a continent or other broad region (i.e. USA, Caribbea) and through subsequent clicks, getting closer and closer to the desired location. Other advanced search options allow for searches by resort amenity (golf, fishing, lake) or by unit size.
The on-line resort descriptions offer property photos and descriptions, unit sleeping capacities, a link to the resort's own website and even a notiation showing the nearest airport and its distance.
Following is some of the fine print related to the Short Stay program:
- Short Stay exchanges can be booked on a 3-6 night basis.
- Short Stays are booked online so you know immediately whether your request is available.
- You must verify that you have enough Vacation Points in your account prior to booking.
- A non-refundable $75 transaction fee is required when the exchange is made.
- All exchanges are subject to availability.
- Exchange guidelines are subject to change without notice.
INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL CANCELLATION POLICY
Short Stays
Short Stays are final transactions. The Vacation Points utilized for the exchange and the $75 transaction fee are forfeited if the Short Stay is cancelled.
Note: Once confirmed, Short Stays cannot be modified.
