New Member Dining Package Offers Dinner Plus Reserved Fireworks Viewing

Member Benefits and Perks

The new Disney Vacation Club dining experience includes fireworks viewing from Top of the World Lounge, casting doubt on the status of complimentary access to the space.

The Wave

A new dining package offered at Disney's Contemporary Resort combines dinner at The Wave...of American Flavors with reserved fireworks viewing at nearby Top of the World Lounge. For $59 per person, members can enjoy a prix-fixe meal at The Wave beginning approximately 90 minutes before the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks display.

At the conclusion of the meal, participants will be escorted to Bay Lake Tower and up to the lounge for beverages and desserts during the fireworks show.

The package is available nightly beginning Monday, January 14 and currently running through Sunday, June 30, 2019. (Blockout dates apply on Valentine's Day, Easter Weekend and Mother's Day Weekend.)

There is a limit of six participants per party, including the Disney Vacation Club member and five guests. No discounts or Disney Dining Plan credits apply. Full payment is due at the time of reservation. Contact DVC Member Services for additional details or to reserve.

Dating back to at least 2012, all DVC members staying at Walt Disney World resorts have been granted complimentary access to Top of the World Lounge to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks.  However, this paid dining experience leaves the member perk up-in-the-air.

At this time the DVC member website still lists free lounge access as ending on December 29, 2018.  Member Services has no details regarding lounge access for 2019.  DVCNews reached out to a Disney spokesperson and was told that they have no additional information to share at this time.
