The discount offered to Disney Vacation Club members for merchandise purchases has effectively doubled effective October 1, 2016.

Eligible DVC members will now save 20% on most merchandise purchases at shops throughout Walt Disney World. Previously members would receive a 10% discount under an owner perk introduced back in October 2012.
The discount is limited to shops which are owned and operated by Disney. Most resort and theme park retail locations are eligible, along with World of Disney, Once Upon A Toy and other select outlets at Disney Springs.
Certain items are excluded from the discount including theme park tickets, DVDs, Swarovski Crystal, consumer electronics and more.
A Disney Vacation Club member ID must be presented at the time of purchase. Buyers who purchased points on the resale market after April 4, 2016 are not eligible for this and other DVC Membership Magic perks.
There is no scheduled end date for this expanded member perk.
