Led by Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest Disney Vacation Club resort, Disney sold 231,294 points in June 2019 for the resorts located at Walt Disney World. This is a noteworthy improvement over the 202,595 points sold in June 2018. Midway through 2019, Disney has sold a total of 1,291,252 points, which is about 5.1% greater than the same period in calendar year 2018.

Disney’s Riviera Resort — In June 2019, Disney sold 114,091 points for Riviera. The resort has now sold 271,325 points, about 4.0% of its 6.7 million total points, and about 20.7% of the 1.3 million points that have been declared for the Disney Vacation Club inventory.

DVC Direct Sales June 2019

Of the 1,701 deeds sold so far for Riviera, only 10 have been Fixed Week deeds. This is a much slower pace than had been sold in the first three months of sales for the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (127 Fixed Week deeds), or the Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows (53 deeds), but ahead of the pace of Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Resort (7 deeds).

After only three months worth of sales, it’s too early to estimate when Riviera will sell out. However, the 114,091 points sold in June for Riviera might be indicative of what it will average in the coming months. That amount is comparable to the 110,688 points and 111,139 points averaged by the Polynesian and Copper Creek, respectively, while they were being actively marketed. If Riviera averages about 114,000 points in future sales, it would not sell out until around January 2024.

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge — Although Copper Creek is considered to be “sold out”, a significant number of deeds is still being recorded for the resort. In June, 83,305 points were sold, bringing to 2,966,410 the number of points sold for Copper Creek.

Another Fixed Week deed was sold for Copper Creek in June. Twenty-six such deeds have been sold to date, 15 of which are for the last six weeks of the calendar year.

The sales data includes all 11 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
