Disney Vacation Club has updated its promotional incentives for the direct purchase of points at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Additionally first ever discounts are available for Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, assuming buyers are willing to spend a small fortune.
Aulani buyers can currently choose from one of two incentives: a cash discount plus one-time use Developer's points or a larger cash discount.
The amount of the discount varies greatly depending upon the number of points purchased. Below are some sample prices under each offer:
First-Time Buyer
150 points: Cash discount worth $300 PLUS 150 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $1800
200 points: Cash discount worth $800 PLUS 200 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $2800
300 points: Cash discount worth $1,800 PLUS 300 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $4800
1000 points: Cash discount worth $14,000 PLUS 1000 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $24,000
2000 points: Cash discount worth $36,000 PLUS 2000 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $46,000
Current Member Adding On
100 points: Cash discount worth $200 PLUS 100 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $1200
200 points: Cash discount worth $1000 PLUS 200 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $3000
300 points: Cash discount worth $2,100 PLUS 300 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $5100
1000 points: Cash discount worth $15,000 PLUS 1000 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $25,000
2000 points: Cash discount worth $38,000 PLUS 2000 one-time use points OR cash discount worth $48,000
The current $165 base price applies to all points purchased. Varyiing discounts are offered at different purchase levels but the minimum to receive some form of incentive is 150 points as a new buyer and 100 points for a current DVC owners adding-on.
In other news, Disney is discounting points at the Polynesian for the first time ever, but buyers will have to be willing to spend a little over $300,000 in order to take advantage of the incentive.
For purchases of 2000 or more Disney Vacation Club points at the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, DVC is offering a discount of $5 off the regular $165 price. The discount amounts to a cool $10,000 off of the 2000 point purchase, bringing the total down from $330,000 to just $320,000. Of course, closing costs and other fees do apply.
These offers are expected to remain in places until March 2016, but Disney has already announced that the base rate will rise from $165 per point to $168 in November 2015 for new buyers and December for current owners adding-on.
