Trip insurance can provide some peace of mind when planning an expensive journey.  Most insurance plans offer reimbursement for travel delays (weather, mechanical), lost luggage, unexpected health incidents which may impact travel, and more.  

Disney Vacation Club members are offered a standard travel insurance option through DVC and Travelex, while members could also opt to find their own coverage elsewhere.

Prices for Disney Vacation Club points purchased direct from Disney keep climbing higher.  With the gap between direct and resale pricing growing wider, it makes less and less sense to purchase points from Disney.  

Perhaps some new sales incentive or perk could change buyers minds.

Before long, Disney Vacation Club will begin selling ownership interests in the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.  Much information about the forthcoming DVC property remain unknown, but that won't keep us from speculating.

After applying all sales incentives and promotional discounts, how much do you think the first buyers will pay for a quantity of 200 Grand Floridian points?  (Omit closing costs and finance charges from your guess.)

Even Disney Vacation Club members will occasionally pay cash for their accommodations rather than using points.  The reasons for doing so are numerous:  not enough points available...all points rooms are sold out....points rooms too expensive...cash room available at special promotional rates...


Topic: Have you ever paid cash for a Disney resort room after become a DVC member?  If so, what were the conditions?

Many aspects of a Disney Vacation Club resort stay are "included" in the cost and offered at no additional charge to guests.  But what "included" really means is the costs are covered by all owners via annual dues.  Examples include Internet service, Community Halls and resort activity programs, Disney's Magical Express, theme park transportation, self parking, laundry facilities, even operations of resort pools.  All are funded by owners regardless of whether they choose to use the amenity or not.
