Disney's BoardWalk Villas is reminiscent of two resort areas located on the east coast, Atlantic City, NJ and Coney Island in Brooklyn, NY.  These areas both still exist today, but “our” boardwalk is modeled on the resorts as they existed during the early 1900s.

Disney's BoardWalk Villas was the first Disney Vacation Club resort to have been built simultaneously with a Disney Deluxe Resort on the same property, namely Disney's BoardWalk Inn.  Inn rooms are located on the eastern side of the resort closest to EPCOT while the DVC villas are located to the west near Walt Disney Dolphin and Swan resorts and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

A Boardwalk View reservation guarantees guests a room overlooking the BoardWalk itself.  EPCOT's Spaceship Earth, Crescent Lake and the Yacht / Beach Club resorts are also visible from most rooms. 

Preferred View provides a view of the quiet pool, the Luna Park Pool or the canal that leads to Disney's Hollywood Studios. 

Standard View rooms face either the entrance to the resort / front lawn / front driveway or a combination of the lawn / parking lot / canal to Disney's Hollywood Studios. 

Magic Kingdom:  Bus, which will take 20-30 minutes depending on the route used. Buses are shared with Swan/Dolphinand occasionally with the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.  Guests with a car may choose to drive to the Transportation and Ticket Center and take the monorail or ferry to the Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT:  10 minute walk or boat ride.  Catch the boat on the BoardWalk just outside the resort. 

Disney's Hollywood Studios:  15 minute walk or ~20 minute boat ride.  TIP:  For a shorter return trip, exit the boat at Swan/Dolphin and follow the signs to BoardWalk. Guests may also walk to EPCOT's International Gateway and board Disney's Skyliner for service to Disney's Hollywood Studios. 

Disney's Animal Kingom:   Bus, which will take 20-30 minute.  Buses may be shared with Swan/Dolphin and occasionally with the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. 

Exit the lobby from the main entrance.  The path to the left leads to the bus stop. 

There are three adult pools, each with its own whirlpool spa. 

The main pool, called the Luna Park pool, has a slide that looks like a roller coaster on the outside.  

There is a separate kiddie area in the Luna Park pool area.

There are two quiet pools, one on the Villas side of the resort and the other on the Inn side. Lifeguards are not present at either of the quiet pools

The Pool hours may vary depending on time of the year.  Generally they are open from 10AM to 10PM. 

The Belle Vue Lounge, located on the Inn side of BoardWalk Resort, is open from afternoon until late into the evening. Other nearby locations include AbracadaBar on Disney's BoardWalk near Flying Fish and Jellyrolls dueling piano bar.

On the BoardWalk just outside the resort, guests can rent surrey bikes which accommodate up to 6 people. 

The health club is located on the BoardWalk level (first floor) opposite the elevators.  A wide variety of workout equipment is provided. Use of the gym equipment is complimentary to all resort guests.

The Screen Door--located on the BoardWalk level--offers a selection of groceries and other general supplies. 

Boardwalk View villas have a good view of EPCOT's nightly fireworks presentation--the higher up, the better the view.  Guests on the higest floors may be able to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks as well.

Standard view rooms that face the parking lot can see EPCOT fireworks and some can see the high fireworks from Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios. 

Most Standard View rooms along the front lawn have an obscured view of the high EPCOT fireworks.

Excellent views of EPCOT fireworks can also be found on the bridge leading toward the theme park. Obscured views of can be found all along the BoardWalk.  

One word: Staircases!!  The BoardWalk Villas features only one bank of elevators.  Using stairwells located throughout the villa wing can save a great deal of time when walking to the parking lot, bus stop and theme parks.  

The spa at the Luna Park Pool is almost always crowded.  However the spa at the nearby quiet pool is often empty, especially in the evening.

There is a mail slot to send letters or postcards in the BoardWalk lobby right next to the Bell Services stand.

Each night there is FREE entertainment on the BoardWalk.  Examples include jugglers, clowns, musicians, magicians and more, generally starting about 8:00pm and ending about 10pm, but this will vary seasonally.

The Belle Vue Lounge and Carousel Coffee offer a selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day. 

The Community Hall is a family-friendly activity center llocated next to the quiet pool on the Villas side of the resort.  Activities offered include video games, air hockey, ping pong and some board games, all free of charge for Disney Vacation Club members. 

Daily activities are planned for children.  Schedules are typically posted by the Community Hall front door and included in guest check-in packets.  Some activities required a nominal fee. 

Disney Vacation Club members can borrow DVDs at no charge.

Sports equipment (croquet, tennis) is also available for resort use.

Numerous trash / recycling rooms are available on each floor of the resort.  Follow signs posted in the resort hallways. 

The guest lanudry is located on the first floor opposite the elevators. 

Although the machines may have coin slots, payment is not necessary.  Use of laundry facilities is free to Disney Vacation Club members. Guests must provide their own detergent.  Single-load boxes are available for purchase in the laundry room.
