DVCNews Debates: 2011 vacation memories

mt_ignore:DVCNews DebatesMost Disney Vacation Club members agree that ownership is the key to enjoying Disney vacations in new and different ways.  Some stay in larger rooms.  Some take longer or more frequent trips.  Some treat friends and family members to vacations they could not--or would not--have otherwise taken.

DVCNews Debates: Holiday Decor

mt_ignore:DVCNews DebatesAll of the Disney Vacation Club resorts are extensively decorated for the holiday season but most members seem to have a favorite.  That preference could be due to a feature attraction such as the gingerbread tree at Disney's Contemporary Resort or the carousel at Disney's Beach Club.  Or the preference could be purely for sentimental reasons.

DVCNews Debates:Meeting announcements

mt_ignore:DVCNews DebatesThe 2011 Condo meeting will be remembered for a number of noteworthy announcements:  Table in Wonderland card soon available to members, on-line reservations, increased availability at the Grand Californian.  Oh, and something about a new DVC wing being added to an existing resort in Florida.

DVCNews Debates: Problem resolution

mt_ignore:DVCNews DebatesUnfortunately problems do occur in the Disney Vacation Club world.  At times, members gain access to their villas later than promised, housekeeping and maintenance issues are encountered and other technical snafus can contribute to a lackluster experience.  The most common response from DVC customer service is to refund a portion of the points used for the stay.  In more extreme situations guests are relocated and occasionally given a villa upgrade in the process.

Topic:  Based upon your own experiences or what you have read on-line, do you think DVC's responses to member complaints tend to be too generous, not generous enough or about right?

DVCNews Debates: Future off-site resorts

mt_ignore:DVCNews DebatesBetween the budgeting missteps for Disney's Aulani resort in Hawaii and the announcement that Disney would not be moving forward with a hotel or timeshare in Maryland's National Harbor, there is reason to question whether we will ever see another Disney Vacation Club resort outside of a theme park complex.

Topic:  Do you think DVC will ever build another non-park timeshare resort?  If so, when?
