May 2015 sales update: Polynesian leads DVC resorts in sales

The shift in Disney Vacation Development’s marketing focus to Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and away from the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is reflected in this month’s direct sales data. In May 2015, sales for the Polynesian jumped 34.0% compared to the previous month, but sales for the Grand Floridian declined by 61.1%. Overall, direct sales in May dropped to 169,377 points, 24.5% less than in April 2015 when 224,472 points were sold.

Grand Floridian continues to lead direct sales in April 2015

In the last several weeks, its become apparent the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is no longer being actively marketed by Disney Vacation Development. Although sales for the Grand Floridian are winding down, DVD sold more points for it than any other resort in April 2015. A total of 224,472 Disney Vacation Club points were sold for the month, including 95,923 points for the Grand Floridian.

March 2015 sales update

Direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points almost reached 300,000 points in March 2015. Led by sales for the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, 294,902 DVC points were sold in the month, an increase of 20.4% over the previous month.

February 2015 direct sales update

As sales for Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows picked up momentum in February 2015, Disney Vacation Development sold 244,886 Disney Vacation Club points, an increase of 9.5% over the previous month. The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was first in sales with 97,678 points, Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas was second with 66,489 points, and the Polynesian was third with 61,050 points sold in the month.
