More Animal Kingdom villas declared for the DVC inventory

On August 16, 2011, Disney Vacation Development declared and added 10 more two-bedroom villas to the Disney Vacation Club inventory at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.

Six of the villas are dedicated two-bedroom villas and four of the villas are lock-off two-bedroom villas.

DVD has now declared 72.54% of AKV for the DVC inventory, which means that DVC members can Vacation Club points to book up to 72.54% of Animal Kingdom Villas on any given Use Day. Including the 10 two-bedroom villas from the newest declaration, DVD has now declared a total of 46 dedicated studios, 283 two-bedroom villas, and 14 Grand Villas for the DVC inventory at Animal Kingdom Villas

Still remaining to be declared are 107 two-bedroom villas and 8 Grand Villas.



As of August 17, 2011, 64.29% of Animal Kingdom Villas' 7,400,270 total points have been sold to the public. However, this percentage does not include those points that DVD has reacquired from DVC members through foreclosure proceedings, exercising its right of first refusal on resales, and other buybacks.  Based on deeds recorded by DVD with the Orange County Comptroller, sales have improved in August 2011-- probably due to slowing sales of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary ResortAnimal Kingdom Villas is on pace to have its best monthly sales total in over a year.
