The room refurbishment at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has been talked-about for nearly a year. Finally the process has begun and we have a few details on what to expect.
Don't expect changes quite as substantial as the recent remodels at Disney's Old Key West Resort and
Disney's BoardWalk Villas. The Saratoga Springs project is classified as a "soft goods" refurbishment, which typically does not involve any major construction work or wholesale furniture replacement.
Among the items slated for replacement are villa drapes, carpets, linens and accessories like the horse-themed throw pillows pictured here. A brief mention in the new issue of Disney Files Magazine suggests new bedspreads are planned, depicting "horses in a forest inhabited by characters from The Fox and the Hound."
All Saratoga Springs guest rooms were previously upgraded to include flat panel TVs.
The resort-wide soft goods refurbishment is expected to run through the spring of 2013.
