While many of the Disney Vacation Club resorts are similar, there are slight variations from one property to the next--and not just in terms of resort theming. Additionally, guests used to a certain level of service from Disney resorts will see differences at the DVC timeshare properties, among them the lack of daily housekeeping services.
With DVC being a rather long-term commitment, some prospective buyers are advised to stay at one or more vacation club resorts before buying. Of course, doing so may diminish the value of the purchase as it's money spent on cash stays (or point rentals) instead of going toward the DVC purchase.
