Fifth Animal Kingdom Villas declaration of 2012

Animal Kingdom Villas

For the fifth time this year, Disney Vacation Development has declared more villas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas for the Disney Vacation Club inventory.

On June 13, 2012, 10 more two-bedroom villas representing 162,900 points were declared.  With this latest declaration, DVD has now declared 82.45% of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas for the DVC inventory.  This means that on any given Use Day DVC Members can book up to 82.45% of Animal Kingdom Villas using points.

There are still the equivalent of 62 two-bedroom villas and eight Grand Villas at Animal Kingdom which are not yet declared for the DVC inventory.  These undeclared vacation homes account for 1,299,020 points.  DVD uses this undeclared inventory for cash reservations and for other marketing purposes.

Sales for Animal Kingdom Villas have increased since Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort are no longer being actively marketed by DVD.  In the first five months of 2012 DVD has sold 588,319 Animal Kingdom points with 197,087 of the points being sold in May alone.
