Several months ago select members were invited to respond to a survey regarding perks offered to Disney Vacation Club owners. Now DVC is asking for feedback regarding amenities within its guest rooms.
Some recent DVC resort guests are getting email invites to comment on a number of resort and villa amenities. Among the items listed within the survey are:
- Daily housekeeping
- Fitness equipment in villa rooms
- Deluxe Studio sleeping accommodations for a 5th guest
- Larger televisions, more cable channels and DVRs
- Pet-friendly rooms
- Storage solution for personal items (a la Owner's Locker)
- More luxurious bedding, towels, toiletries, etc.
- Dishes and dishwashers in Deluxe Studio villas
A Disney Vacation Club source we contacted indicated that the survey is not necessarily related to any planned changes. DVC values feedback obtained via surveys, Member Services, member correspondence, etc. and they strive to "incorporate this feedback into new and existing resorts as applicable."
In other words, don't read too much into the existence of the survey. It does not suggest that DVC is seriously considering any of the options presented, rather they are simply soliciting feedback in order to get a sense of where members stand on these options. Strong member reaction to certain options could lead to changes, but just because the survey mentions pet friendly rooms does not mean such changes are being seriously entertained.
