Member discount on portrait sessions

It has been several years since Disney introduced a resort-based portrait service in conjunction with its PhotoPass product.  The exact make-up and cost of the service have been tweaked a number of times but Disney Vacation Club members remain eligible for an attractive discount.

The PhotoPass portrait sessions are based out of select Walt Disney World resorts including the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House), Beach Club, Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge. The basic photography package includes 20 minutes of time with a PhotoPass photographer.  The photographer will take an unlimited number of photos throughout the resort during the designated timeframe.

Guests have the freedom to select multiple setup locations both inside and outside of the resort.  Setups can include an entire family / group, select family members or individual portraits.

The base cost for the portrait session is currently $99.95 with a discounted Disney Vacation Club member rate of $79.95.  The price includes 20 minutes of time with the photographer (additional time available for a fee), a CD with copies off all photos taken during the session and a legal release to reprint the photos.  The package also includes select hardcopy prints of the guest's choosing.  Several print packages are available:

Do you have to be staying at that resort where you want the photos taken? I like BCV & GF, but I may not always stay there.

Nope. Don't even have to be a resort guest.

You know, as goofy as this may sound I might do this. We have been wanting to take some professional pictures of us--haven't had any in 13 years we have been married. Might be kinda neat idea for anniversary present.

We did this when it was at SSR a few years ago. Pictures were great (especially of the kids). We are going at Thanksgiving and already have an appointment at Grand Floridian.
