On select nights in April and May 2016, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy sparse crowds at the Magic Kingdom theme park...for a price.

The new "Disney After Hours" program provides 3 hours of exclusive access to select Magic Kingdom attractions at a price of $149 per person, plus tax. Disney After Hours ticket holders can enter the park as early as 7pm with the park remaining open until 1:00 or 2:00am (varies by date.) The last 3 operating hours are exclusive to event participants with attractions and character meets closed to day guests.
Functionally Disney After Hours is similar to Disney's Extra Magic Hours which provides 1-2 hours of exclusive park access for guests staying at Disney Vacation Club timeshares and Disney resort hotels. There is no additional charge for Extra Magic Hours.
The program also resembles Disney's E-Ride Nights, which provided limited access to Magic Kingdom attractions for an added cost of about $12 per person. E-Ride nights were discontinued in approximately 2004.
Maximum attendance will be capped for the $149 Disney After Hours nights, although Disney has not provided any details regarding enforced limits.
Also unknown are the number of attactions and character experiences available to attendees. The official website for Disney After Hours specifically lists only four attractions (Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Peter Pan's Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain) plus character meets at the Princess Fairytale Hall.
Attendees will receive complimentary ice cream novelties, including the popular Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, and select bottled beverages. Other refreshments will be available for purchase.
