After making a brief appearance at last month's Getaway Days event, the model rooms for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Resort were quickly shuttered pending final managerial approval. This weekend the walls finally came down.
Site member Lynda Carswell was enjoying Disneyland on Saturday and had the foresight to ask Cast Members about the status of the models. A few minutes later she was standing in the Two Bedroom villa mock-ups, camera in hand, and has graciously shared the images she captured.

The Villas at Grand Californian project was announced in 2007 and is currently slated to open in late 2009. This Disney Vacation Club property will consist of approximately 50 units--forty-eight Two Bedroom equivalents and two Grand Villas. Points for this DVC resort are not yet available, but rumors point to a sales start-up sometime before the end of 2008.
