Topolino’s Character Breakfast to Continue Post-COVID

Disney's Riviera Resort

Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort will offer a "modified Character Dining experience" when it reopens later this month.

Popular character meal locations like Chef Mickey's, Cape May Cafe and 1900 Park Fare will not reopen on June 22 when their respective resorts begin to host guests again. However, Disney intends to continue some form of character dining opportunity at Topolino's Terrace

Among the listed changes to Disney dining is the following:

Character Dining will not be offered during the initial reopening, with the exception of a modified Character Dining experience at Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera.

Social distancing guidelines may lead to a disappointing experience for diners. It is unlikely that guests will be able to interact with the characters if 6' distancing is enforced. Along with closing most character meals, Disney has indicated that theme park meet-and-greet opportunities are discontinued indefinitely.

Dinner shows, private dining and in-room delivery will not be offered during what Disney calls the "initial reopening window." We expect additional venues and services will debut following the July 11 reopening of the theme parks.

Face coverings are required in all public areas of Walt Disney World, including when entering and exiting restaurants. It may be removed while eating or drinking.

Dining reservations are recommended for table service venues at Disney resorts. In-park table service dining will require a park admission ticket, a reservation for park entry and a dining reservation. Dining reservations are not currently available, but Disney expects to reopen them soon. Until further notice, dining reservations will be available 60 days in advance rather than the previous 180 days.
