Refurbishment of guest room interiors at Disney's Beach Club Villas is set to begin January 7, 2023.
In late 2022, Disney Vacation Club revealed that Disney's Beach Club Villas was due for a guest room refurbishment sometime in 2023. It turns out that work will begin sooner rather than later.
A noticed has been posted to the Disney websites indicating that the villa refurbishment will take place from January 7 through early April, 2023. The full notice reads as follows:
From January 7, 2023 through early April 2023, Disney’s Beach Club Villas will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Resort amenities will remain available for your enjoyment. While you may see or hear construction during daytime hours, you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM.
This update is scheduled to be a lighter "refresh" of the guest rooms with changes to carpet, wall coverings, linens and decor. Addition of the pull-down Murphy Bed style sofabeds is also likely to occur. In 2021 DVC rooms at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa received a similar refresh which included installation of the new beds.
This work comes as Disney is finally completing the oft-delayed full refurbishment of Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Disney's BoardWalk Villas is also set for a full refurb in the second half of 2023.
