Disney is currently testing the use of a separate DVC-only check-in desk at the Beach Club Villas.
The desk is located near the wing of the resort that hosts the villas themselves. It is only staffed during the busiest times of the day, so members should be on the lookout for signs directing them to the new desk. If the signs are not present in the lobby, DVC members should check-in at the front desk as usual.
The new registration facilities have apparently been designed to acknowledge the lower degree of hand-holding required by DVC members. After providing a photo ID, arriving guests are encouraged to relax in a lounge near the desk while Cast Members complete the check-in process. If arriving guest levels permit, the Cast Member handling the checking-in will even escort the guest to his/her room.
