The popular Value rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas are not available for member bookings until late March 2020.
A message posted to the Disney Vacation Club members-only website indicates that all Jambo House Value-class rooms will be unavailable from December 2019 until early spring 2020.
Back in March 2019, a different message posted to the site indicated that only Value Studio rooms would be unavailable, and that the closure would last until "early 2020." At some point after that posting, the message was apparently updated to encompass all Value rooms with an expansion of the closure dates.
A search of room availability on the DVC booking site reveals that March 20, 2020 is the earliest date on which as Value-class One Bedroom villa is currently open to book.
Given that this change in messaging occurred within the 11-month booking window for owners of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, it is not known if steps were taken to remove all Value villas from inventory before members were able to secure reservations. Any members holding Value reservations through March 2020 may wish to contact DVC Member Services to clarify the situation. The overall size of Animal Kingdom Villas may give resort staff the ability to upgrade impacted guests from a Value room to a better class / view upon arrival.
The villa interiors were refurbished back in 2016. This closure is reportedly caused by other work on the building structure which will limit availablity of the Value villas.
