California Grill

Scott Joseph's Orlando Restaurant Guide is reporting that California Grill and Flying Fish Cafe are in need of new head chefs.

Chef Brian Piasecki--head chef at California Grill for the past seven years--has accepted a new position at Walt Disney World.  In his new role, Piasecki will serve as "Executive Chef WDW Resorts, Moderate, Value and Standalone DVC properties."

Piasecki will remain at California Grill until a replacement is named.  No timetable was provided for the transition.

Additionally, the same site reports that chef Timothy Keating will not be returning to Flying Fish Cafe when it returns from its 8-month renovation.  Keating is apparently leaving the Disney company to pursue other opportunities.

Flying Fish Cafe closed in February 2016 and is scheduled to reopen in September.
