WDW Theme Park News

As Disney moves closer and closer to its roll-out of MyMagic+ and FastPass+, let's examine one of the newer options for managing theme park visits.

FastPass Kiosk

Disney's FastPass+ service allows guests to access select FastPass+ attractions and entertainment in advance and on the day of the visit.

Guests can use the My Disney Experience app or the MyDisneyExperience.com website to make or manage FastPass+ selections.  Web access is available via laptops, smartphones and other connected devices both inside and outside of the Disney parks.

Those who do not have such a device can visit a FastPass+ kiosk to make or change FastPasses selections. There are several FastPass+ kiosks located in each of the Walt Disney World parks:

Magic Kingdom Park locations

Guest Relations at City Hall
Town Square Theater
Near the Diamond Horseshoe
Mickey's Philharmagic
Near Pete's Silly Sideshow

Disney's Hollywood Studios locations

Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind near Guest Relations
Tip Board at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Epcot locations

Guest Relations in Future World
Tip Board near Spaceship Earth
Near Epcot Character Spot
International Gateway

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park locations

Guest Relations
Disney Outfitters
Kali River Rapids
Primeval Whirl

Each location is marked with a sign that says "FP+ Kiosk."

To begin using a kiosk simply touch a MagicBand to the Mickey sensor next to the monitor.  The monitor will display FastPass+ selections (if any) already attached to the band. The monitor will display a list of attractions and available times so that guests may make their initial selections or adjustments to FastPasses already scheduled.

There are designated Cast Members at each kiosk location to help assist guests using the system. Cast Members are easily identifiable in their bright turquoise shirts with a green Mickey patch.

In addition, similarly-dressed Cast Members equipped with tablet comptuers also roam the parks, assisting guests with management of their FastPass+ selections.

Disney has not announced a formal launch date for the MyMagic+ services.  However, all Walt Disney World resorts--including the Disney Vacation Club properties--are currently in a test phase which encompasses all arriving guests.
