When the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge was refurbished in 2014, one of the surprises was the expansion of Deluxe Studio villas to sleep 5 guests of any age. The extra sleeping accommodation came in the form of a fold-down twin size bed. The bed is built into a combination bed / table / armoire unit. The round dining table has been removed from villas with the new unit flexible enough to be set-up as either the twin bed OR a small square table with two chairs. Some owners have voiced preference for the new setup, allowing for the flexibility of either a 3rd bed in the room or a table while others seem to prefer the dedicated table and lower occupancy limit.
This new design appears to have found favor with Disney executives as both Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's BoardWalk Villas will receive the new bed & table units in 2015.
