On July 2, 2015, Disney filed a Notice of Commencement with the Orange County Comptroller to undertake a soft goods renovation of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas at Jambo House.

No details are included in the Notice, but a soft goods renovation usually includes items such as bedding, comforters, curtains, and wall & floor coverings.
Its unknown whether Disney will add the fold-down 5th sleeper to the Jambo House studios during the soft goods renovation. Disney added the 5th sleeper when it recently renovated the Deluxe Studio rooms at the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and is in the process of adding the 5th sleeper to all studios at Disney's BoardWalk Villas and Disney's Beach Club Villas.
The 5th sleeper increases the capacity of a studio from four to five guests.
Notice of Commencement for "Interior Guest Room Soft Goods Renovation"
No dates were given as to when the renovation would begin or end. The Notice of Commencement shows an expiration date of November 30, 2015, which suggests that Disney will have to begin soon on the renovation if it plans on being finished by the end of November. However, Disney could file an amended Notice to modify the expiration date if necessary.
Only the Jambo House villas at are being renovated. Rooms at Kidani Village--which opened almost two years after Jambo House--are not included in this soft goods renovation.
