The Americans with Disabilities Act requires Disney Vacation Club to construct a certain percentage of villas which are modified for disabled guests. However the number of accessible units seems to often exceed the number of guests requiring such an accommodation. Due to high DVC occupancy levels, able-bodied guests will occasionally find themselves assigned to an accessible villa. These assignments are seemingly random, with the guest given little (or no) opportunity to approve or reject the assignment.
