Online check-in requests expanded

DVC Policies & Procedures

During the condo association meeting in December, Disney Vacation Club VP Clarie Bilby made a point of informing members that resorts were placing greater emphasis on meeting room requests attached to DVC reservations.  That philosophy has since trickled-down to the online check-in service.

When using Disney's online check-in service, guests were previously limited to a very basic set of requests.  Most resorts offered simple options such as "Near Transportation" and "First Floor."  Guests could not request specific resort areas, views or other resort features.

Recent updates to the online check-in feature have expanded that list of requests.  For example, a guest checking-in to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa was offered the following request options:

  • Paddock
  • Grandstand
  • Springs
  • Carousel
  • Congress Park
  • Near Carriage House
  • Near walkway to Downtown Disney
  • First, second, third or fourth floor room

See screen capture below for a full list of options for Saratoga Springs guests.

Up to TWO options are permitted, meaning that a guest could conceivably select options like Near Downtown Disney walkway and fourth floor room.  However, guests should be careful to not make conflicting requests.  Requesting Grandstand and near Downtown Disney walkway--features which are at opposite ends of Saratoga Springs--would yield unpredictable results.

If you have used the online check-in service lately, use our comment feature to share request options for other Disney Vacation Club destinations.
