RCI online booking

On Tuesday, November 6, Disney Vacation Club plans to unveil a new online tool which will enable members to book exchanges through RCI.

The new feature will arrive as an addition to DVCMember.com.  Members will be able to book weekly and nightly RCI stays, and create waitlist requests via the new system.

The $95 RCI fee still applies and must be paid online at the time of booking.

More advanced functions must still be coordinated through DVC Member Services.  Included are additions, changes and cancellations of existing RCI trips, modifications to waitlist requests and reservations for Signature Selection destinations.

Having never done an exchange, I don't know if this is a good deal. I do know I really like the online reservation system we now have with DVC. It's great knowing the day before if you even have a chance at your reservation. Will this online system be the same. Can we check it without transferring our points to RCI, or do have to transfer the points before we look? That would be interesting to know.

No, the link from the MS website didn't work for me this morning. I found the link by going to Member Getaways, World Passport Collection. It show up as a link but it's not activated.

I thought I'd check to see if you could see if a resort was available before paying the $95 fee. The link indicates it will be taking you to another website, I'm assuming it's RCI's Exchange website.
