While many details are yet to be ironed out, Disney Vacation Club has published a list of Membership Magic events it has planned for owners through the end of the calendar year. The list includes functions at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World resort properties.
West Coast owners are seeing their options slowly expand as DVC seemingly recognizes their desire for unique member events. Moonlight Magic at Disneyland park and several unique holiday gatherings are on the calendar for 2017:
- June 18: Father's Day Lunch at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
- October 31: Halloween Event at Grand Californian
- November 15: Moonlight Magic at Disneyland
- December 24: Holiday Dinner at Grand Californian
Owing to the larger member base out east, the Walt Disney World event list is a bit more extensive:
- June 23 & 28, July 5 & 13: Moonlight Magic at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
- July 3: Independence Day Dessert Party at Disney's Contemporary Resort
- September 6 & 13: Moonlight Magic at Disney's Animal Kingdom
- October 31: Halloween Event at Contemporary
- November 23: Thanksgiving Dinner at Contemporary
- December 4 & 11: Moonlight Magic at Epcot
- December 24: Holiday Dinner at Contemporary
The Moonlight Magic events are complimentary to qualifying Disney Vacation Club owners. The events provide exclusive access to Disney theme parks and attractions after they have closed to the general public. Entertainment and refreshments are also provided.
The other dining events are exclusive to members but a fee is required in order to participate. Disney Vacation Club Membership Magic events and perks are available only to those who purchased points direct from DVC or resale prior to April 4, 2016.
