In July 2017, Disney Vacation Club is again presenting its members with a unique opportunity to enjoy the Independence Day fireworks and some sweet treats just a stone's throw from the Magic Kingdom.
On Monday, July 3, DVC owners can attend the "Independence Day Dessert Party" at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Hosted in the convention center Porte Cochere, the party offers a "front porch" view of the special holiday fireworks show. Attendees will enjoy a menu of themed holiday dessert treats including Boston Cream Pie, Red, White and Blue Mini Cupcakes, Mississippi Mud Pie and more. Non-alcoholic beverages will be served. The party also features carnival games and character photo opportunities.
The party runs from 7pm until 9pm when the fireworks are scheduled to begin. The cost is $35 per adult and $22 per child age 3-9 plus tax and gratuity. While the view is not quite as impressive, the price does compare favorably to dessert parties hosted at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom which typically run $79 per adult and $47 per child plus theme park admission.
Disney Vacation Club members may reserve a spot for themselves and up to 7 friends. The DVC identification card and a photo ID must be presented upon arrival. Members may begin making reservations on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 by calling DVC Member Services.
