Sales of Disney Vacation Club points jumped 54.1% in July 2014 compared to the previous month. 205,975 points were sold, marking the first time since January 2014 that over 200,000 points were sold in a month.

In June 2014, 133,671 Disney Vacation Club points were sold, a slight decline of 1.9% compared to the previous month which saw 136,283 in total sales.

Following a previously-announced price increase at two of its properties, Disney Vacation Club has reintroduced an incentive which gives buyers additional points for free when purchasing at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.  

May 2014 saw a decline in Disney Vacation Club points sold by Disney Vacation Development. For the month, 136,283 points were sold, 14.5% less than the previous month. The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which is the only Disney Vacation Club resort at Walt Disney World being actively marketed, accounted for 79.8% of the points sold.

For many years, guests sailing on a Disney Cruise Line ship would be offered additional discounts or incentives for completing a Disney Vacation Club purchase or add-on while at sea.  But is that still the case today?  

In April 2014, Disney Vacation Development sold 159,487 Disney Vacation Club points, an increase of 16.8% compared to March 2014 when 136,598 points were sold. The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which is the only DVC resort at Walt Disney World that is being actively marketed, accounted for 76.3% of all the points sold for the month.
