Disney Vacation Club president Jim Lewis was selected by Indiana State University as one of four recipients of the 2007 Distinguished Alumni Award.

The award was designed to recognize alumni who have made significant contributions to the community, state or country, or who have realized significant professional achievements throughout their career.  Nominations are accepted from alumni, faculty and friends of the University, with a seven-member selection committee determining award recipients.

Lewis graduated from Indiana State in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and received his master's degree from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University.

He joined The Walt Disney Company in 1996 as director of Planning and Finance for Walt Disney Attractions.  In 2003 Lewis was named Vice President of the Disney Vacation Club unit, and elevated to president in 2006.

Lewis and other award recipients were to be honored at a banquet on October 19th.
