Orlando-area hotel demand continues to rise

While reporting results for its fiscal first quarter, Chief Operating Officer Tom Staggs suggested The Walt Disney Company is considering adding to their hotel inventory.  If so, Disney won't be the only ones building additional rooms.

For the most recent quarter, Disney reported occupancy of 92% at its domestic hotels with average guest spending up 9% to $314. Many other Orlando-area amusement venues are reporting similarly strong results, and are adding rooms to help meet soaring demand.
