Disney Vacation Club's top executive is being honored by an Orlando-area business group.
The Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) is set to bestow its Chairman's Award on Disney Vacation Club senior VP and general manager Ken Potrock. Potrock has been with Disney for nearly 20 years in a variety of roles for Adventures by Disney, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Sports Enterprises and Downtown Disney.
Potrock was named head of Disney's timeshare division in January 2013 following the departure of Claire Bilby. He also serves as president of Florida Citrus Sports and is a member of the EDC executive board.
The award will be presented at EDC's annual awards dinner on April 9. At the gala, Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins is slated to receive the Commission's James B. Greene Economic Development Award.
