Disney Vacation Club direct sales numbers were consistent with the prior 12 months as they prepare to launch Disney's Riviera Resort.
Over the past year, sales for the 10 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World have averaged 173,301 points per month, ranging from a low of 143,780 points in July 2018 to a high of 254,977 points in January 2019. In March 2019, 165,293 points were sold, slightly below the 12-month average.
Sales for Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest DVC resort at Walt Disney World, began on March 27, 2019. However, it may not be until mid-April, or later, before Riveria deeds are recorded with the Orange County Comptroller. Disney starting selling deeds for Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge on March 8, 2017, but it took 37 days before the first Copper Creek deeds were recorded. Hopefully, our sales report for April 2019 may give us our first glimpse of sales for the Riviera.
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge — In March, 135,216 points were sold for Copper Creek, the 15th consecutive month that the resort’s sales have topped the 100,000 point mark. Disney has sold 79.6% of the resort’s total points and has about 610,000 points it can still sell to the general public. Copper Creek is on pace to be sold out by June 2019 as previously announced by Disney.
Since sales began in March 2017, Copper Creek sales have averaged 110,353 points a month. For the first nine months of sales the resort averaged only 57,025 points. However, beginning in January 2018, sales improved dramatically and have averaged 142,350 points in the 15 months since then.
One Fixed Week deed was sold for Copper Creek in March. Only 23 such deeds have been sold to date, accounting for a minuscule 0.17% of the points sold.
The sales data includes all 10 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
