Still more Animal Kingdom villas added to DVC inventory

Disney Vacation Development has declared more villas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas for the Disney Vacation Club inventory.  This latest declaration marks the sixth of of the 2012 calendar year and comes less than a month after the last points addition.  

On July 9, 2012, 12 two-bedroom villas representing 195,480 points were declared.  Just 26 days earlier, on June 13, 2012, Disney Vacation Development (DVD) had declared 10 two-bedroom villas representing 162,900 points for the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) inventory.

With this latest declaration, the percentage of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas declared for the DVC inventory increased from 82.45% to 85.09%.  This means that on any given Use Day DVC Members can book up to 85.09% of Animal Kingdom Villas using points.

There are still the equivalent of 50 two-bedroom villas and eight Grand Villas at Animal Kingdom which are not yet declared for the DVC inventory.  These undeclared vacation homes account for 1,103,540 points.  DVD uses this undeclared inventory for cash reservations and for other marketing purposes.

Sales for Animal Kingdom Villas have increased since Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort are no longer being actively marketed by DVD.  In the last three months, DVD has sold 522,690 Animal Kingdom points, an average of 174,230 points per month.
