Walt Disney World has reportedly set an opening date for the new Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
Multiple websites including Orlando Theme Parks News are reporting that Geyser Point Pool Bar & Grill will open on Monday, February 13, 2017.
The restaurant is part of renovations occurring around the Wilderness Lodge as it converts half of its guest rooms to Disney Vacation Club villas, along with the addition of more than two dozen standalone cabins along the shores of Bay Lake. Geyser Point will offer fast casual dining, while doubling as a pool bar with its selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Entrees include a Bison Burger with Tillamook Cheddar, Salmon BLT with Lemon-Caper Mayonnaise and Grilled Portobello with Zucchini, Roasted Red Peppers and Tomato.
Also on February 13, the resort's longtime quick service dining outlet Roaring Fork Snacks will close for refurbishment, as will the Trout Pass Pool Bar. Geyser Point will initially be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No word on how Geyser Point's operating hours may be adjusted when Roaring Fork reopens later in 2017.
The nearby Boulder Ridge Cove Pool is scheduled to open by summer 2017. Disney Vacation Club has indicated that the resort's new timeshare villas--dubbed Copper Creek Villas & Cabins--will open before the end of 2017.
