Has DVC settled on a name for new Wilderness Lodge project?

Back in September 2015 Disney Vacation Club revealed plans to build a second timeshare component at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  Now we may know what they plan to call this new addition.

According to website WDW News Today, the new Wilderness Lodge resort project will go by the name of Copper Creek Cabins and Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  The name reportedly derives from Copper River in Alaska, suggesting that the cabins may feature Alaskan theming.

The original report can be found at WDWNT.com.  Disney has not commented on the validity of this report.

Long time DVCNews readers will recall that back in 2008, Disney originally used the name "Kingdom Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort" for what we now know as the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Plans call for 26 cabin-like structures to be build along the shores of Bay Lake, along with an undisclosed number of hotel rooms converted to DVC villas.  Legally these new additions will be a separate condominium association from the current Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  The new cabins and villas will represent the fourteenth Disney Vacation Club property.

I like the new name as well. I hope they keep it. Shouldn't the abbreviation be Copper Creek Cabins and Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, CCCV? or 3CV LOL.

So 26 incredibly expensive cabins or converted hotel rooms to studios? I must be missing something here but who books these cabins/bungalows? The points required are off the chart. Is Disney staying away from 1BRs to push people to eat on property ($) for a larger % of meals? We stayed during the week of Spring Break in a PVB studio with five. It was not a problem and we liked the vibe but not something that I would want for every single trip. I will also say that the PVB studios feel and are bigger than the other studio as we also stayed in a VGF studio during that same trip. We are doing a mix in June for the week (BWV studio, VWL studio and VGF 1BR) but our Thanksgiving trip for the week will be a 1BR.
