Is there any information available regarding features of specific rooms at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge?

DVCNews.com has created a series of searchable databases listing very detailed information on most of the Disney Vacation Club resort guestrooms. The database allows you to search for rooms by their size (Studio, One Bedroom, etc.), class (Value, Standard, etc.), floor and many other criteria.  We even have photos of the actual balcony/patio view from many DVC guest rooms.

Where do I check in?

You check in at the same location as you would for Wilderness Lodge. There is no separate check-in desk for the Villas.

What sort of things are there to do at VWL/Wilderness Lodge?

In addition to the basics like swimming, bike rentals, watercraft rentals, fishing excursions, Buttons & Bells Arcade, and jogging, there are some additional things to do. Once you check in, go to the Concierge desk and see if there's an opening for Flag Family during your stay. If there is an opening, you'll be taken up to the roof to hoist that day's flags. At night the Electrical Water Pageant preforms at the beach at VWL/Wilderness Lodge. And you can go on a self-guided search for Hidden Mickeys (just request a clue sheet at check-in or at Concierge). There's also a "Wonders of the Lodge" tour. You can also wander down to Fire Rock Geyser, which erupts every hour and is a recreation of Old Faithful.

If I'm staying in a studio, where are the laundry facilities?

There are laundry facilities on the first floor of the villas, just past the elevators.

Where is the studio without a balcony?

All the studios on the first floor have a patio instead of a balcony. But studio 4533 on the fourth floor does not have a balcony at all. It is a lockoff, so if you're requesting a two-bedroom lockoff you may get 4533 as part of the villa.

Where are the Trash/Recycling and Ice/Vending Machines at VWL?

The Trash/Recycling are in the same location on every floor. Just follow the Trash/Recycling signs.

The Ice/Vending machines are in the same location on every floor, except on the first floor, where they are with the laundry facilities. Just follow the Ice/Vending signs to locate them.
