Steve "Tikiman" Seifert has been publishing a steady stream of updates on the Polynesian villa progress.  In recent weeks we've gotten more looks at the building interiors including one bathroom being renovated.

Unfortunately progress has not reached a point where interior details can be gleaned.  Most of the rooms are still surrounded by metal studs awaiting drywall installation.

Late last month Captain Cook's reopened in its expanded location, revealing one interesting detail about the resort's Disney Vacation Club buildings.  The walls of Captain Cook's are adorned with faux travel posters for each of the longhouses.  Conspicuously absent are posters for Tahiti and Rapa Nui.  Turns out those two longhouses will revert to their original names of Moorea and Pago Pago.

Additionally, the area surrounding the 20 DVC watertop bungalows will be known as Bora Bora.

Much work is yet to be completed at the resort.  The main volcano pool is now closed and will not re-open until 2016.  The old Wyland Gallery is now home to the Pineapple Lanai which sells Dole Whips and similar snacks.
