The slow winter months have proven to be an ideal time to refurbish many of the support buildings and villa exteriors at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.

Currently the Big Dipper pool complex at Hilton Head Island is receiving an extensive rehab including a complete re-roofing of the Broad Creek Mercantile building, resurfacing of both the pool and spa, and re-carpeting of the Mercantile, Community Hall and Bend & Stretch.
All facilities are being repainted, as well as refinishing work on the dock extending into Broad Creek. During the refurbishment Tide Me Over remains closed. The complex is expected to reopen in late January.
All community hall activities are currently being run out of the Oak Creek Lodge building. There is also a makeshift merchandise location that has been set up in the lobby. The pool at the Beach House as well as Signals counter service dinning location remains open for the use of members and guests.
