Grand Floridian Adds Private Boat Transportation

Walt Disney World guests can now schedule their own private boat service from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to any other destination around the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Grand Floridian

Disney has introduced a private water taxi service via the Grand Floridian marina.  The cost is $20 for one-way service in a boat that will accommodate up to 10 guests.  Boats depart via the recreation marina located near the Sugar Loaf bulding.

Service must be booked in advance by calling the resort receation line at 321-318-8212.  Note that return service from the Magic Kingdom to Grand Floridian may not be available at all times.

Service is available daily from 8:00am to 6:00pm, subject to availability.

Thanks to Denise for the tip!

Well, my only question is if I have to schedule an appt for this water taxi, can't I plan accordingly to be at a transportation spot, be it monorail, bus, or boat in reasonable time to utilize? Good news is the $20 (plus tip) is reasonable so I could see it on occasion....

I can't figure out when you would want to use this service, as a taxi would work just as well for less, unless you wanted to transport 10 people.

For $20, thanks but no thanks. I'll stick with the monorail or resort buses.
Plus I could probably use another sweatshirt...LOL.

eeeh, well if we where 10 people going somewhere together around the Seven Seas Lagoon, perhaps..but probably not.
U-boats... god one :-)
I guess BLT and Boulder Ridge, Fort Wilderness, is a non destination then since it is not at the Seven Seas Lagoon shore..., so that leaves
MK and Polynesian then?
Not entirely sure who this service will cater to.
