A recent points declaration has brought more than 91% of all points at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas into the timeshare program.

On February 15, 2013, Disney Vacation Development declared 10 additional Units for the Disney Vacation Club at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas. This latest declaration adds 12 two-bedroom villas containing 195,480 vacation club points to the DVC inventory. The declaration was recorded with the Orange County Comptroller on February 21, 2013.

Legally a timeshare developer must add or "declare" physical units into the resort's condominium assocation before the associated points can be sold to owners.  This is the first declaration of Units for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas in nearly seven months. The last declaration for the resort occurred on July 23, 2012, when 262,100 points were added to the DVC inventory.

With this latest declaration, the percentage of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas declared increases from 88.63% to 91.27%. On any given Use Day DVC Members can book up to 91.27% of Animal Kingdom Villas using points. Since April 2012, DVD has increased the DVC inventory at Animal Kingdom Villas by 16.31%, or 1,206,920 points.

There are 33 two-bedroom villas and three Grand Villas at Animal Kingdom Villas that are not yet declared for the DVC inventory. These undeclared vacation homes account for 645,960 points. DVD uses this undeclared inventory for cash reservations and for other marketing purposes.

While 91.27% of the resort's points have been added to the resort's condo association, many of the 195,000 points in this declaration today remain unsold.  Combined with the 645,000 undeclared points, Disney Vacation Development has approximately 800,000-900,000 points to sell at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas before the property will be branded "sold out."
