If the Contemporary Resort is the next resort to be retrofitted with the RFID entry system, then should I assume that BLT will also be retrofitted at the same time?

Since BLT shares front desk/check-in services with the Contemporary I believe it would be a safe assumption that Disney would retrofit BLT at the same time-making it the first DVC to make the switch. I hope the first door they replace is the front door to BLT. On our last trip we had several problems with the reader not accepting our room key and had to wait for someone coming in/out to get in.

During my last stay @ the sandwich I had trouble w/ the skybridge & it was a particular pain when bringing food back to the room. On the surface I like the sound of the RFID change. I wonder if there will be a noticable dues increase for it...

I'm glad to hear they are replacing the ones at CR because I thought I was going to have to walk around the building to get back into BLT from the pool last trip. My KTTW card would not work on either door. The CM from the lobby happenened to hear me knocking and let me in. I had lots of stuff with me as we had been camped out at the pool waiting for our room, and then I got notice the room was ready when Wil went in to check on it. I thought I'd surprise DH by being in the room, but I couldn't even get in the building! I never had any problems with my KTTW card after that.
As to replacing the magnetic cards at the ticket booths, I'm all ready for that. Just think of the number of times a CM has to use the RFID scanner on an AP or ticket because the magnetic scanner doesn't work. Anything that speeds up entry into the parks is good idea to me.
Are people using the bracelets or just a KTTW card?

If the planning for this has been in the works for a while, you would think that DVC would have worked that amount into the Capital Reserves portion of the dues.
